So I had a small catastrophe in the kitchen last night. Marshmallows were harmed. 16oz of them to be exact… all dead and down the drain (which was also slightly catastrophic for a short period).

My goal for this week was to make fondant for a cake. I tried marshmallow fondant (MMF like the title says) since I hear that is easy and tastes better but I made a slight error an while mixing in some of the powdered sugar I decided to do this with my hands… sans Crisco. I ended up with 2 giant blobs of marshmallow gooeyness covering both hands. Oops, next time I think I’m doing this with the dough hook… That should work if I grease the hell out of the bowl and hook… Perhaps this will be a Wednesday project. However I count my baking goal for the week as met already since there was a valid attempt. I will buy some store bought shit tonight too just so I can mess with covering a cake too.

This past weekend was awesome! Friday we went and saw the new Harry Potter. I’ve never seen any of those before so B was concerned I’d be lost and while I don’t know the full back story I felt I was able to keep up enough with the plot to get enjoyment out of it.Great looking production.

Saturday we went surfing. After a few more pointers from B I was up and catching my little white water consistently! He is so awesome. And that evening we rewaxed our boards while we watched Coraline. I must say I was quite disappointed in Coraline. I really thought there was going to be more to it but honestly I had a hard time paying attention. That cat was cool at least.

Sunday morning we went surfing again and I was able to stand up tons of times. I love my board. Next time I’ll go out further and try and catch a real wave perhaps! I’ve been reading this site about shark activity on the Pacific coast… I can’t tell if this is smart or stupid yet… it’s definitely interesting tho! Check it out.

My arms and shoulders are still sore from this weekend! As well as my feet and legs because the new place we surfed has a 1/2 mile walk down hill to get to (which means a freaking 1/2 walk UP after surfing). Really… it’s a steep hill… I’m not trying to sound wussy! I really like this spot because there are less people trying to kill me around.

I’m curious how many calories are burned surfing… I looked it up and found several different estimates online. I guess I’ll choose somewhere in the middle of the numbers which would be about 200/hr.

We ended all of this activity with some Coldstone (why do I even bother wondering how many calories I burnt..lol)! I forget how great that place is sometimes. I think my favorite ice cream place is this little soft-serve shop in Pacific Beach where I can get it chocolate dipped but Coldstone is a close second! mmMMmm Oreo Overload. Heaven in a cup!

Speaking of ice cream, I read a post on SparkPeople by someone mentioning how awesome Skinny Cow desserts are. I’m try not to keep snacks and stuff in the house but I was curious and since these didn’t look too horrible I picked some up over the weekend. Damn, they are pretty awesome! I got their Cookies n Creams sandwiches. Quite yummy and not horrific on the nutrition label. So that made me happy. I like stuff that comes in little single serving portions.

Still need to take some pictures… I must remember to bring my camera with me to work tomorrow and head down to that skate park. I did order some new microfibers, lens pen, and battery for my camera. Those should be coming in by the end of this week. I really should take a class at some point to learn some basic skills and how to maintain my gear. Maybe I’ll do that once the decorating classes are over. Tonight we make more horrible flowers in that class… Stupid flowers! Hard little suckers!

Wow… Tuck just let a huge turd loose live over the internet… if you are reading this I guess you missed it. Your loss… Sorry, I am typing this up while watching him on TuckCam and just happened to catch that moment…

I was too sore from the weekend to run Monday… I hope to at least get a run in Wednesday tho and perhaps Thursday.

Anyways, I’m ready for the weekend… Is that a bad thing to say on a Tuesday?

I love you so much that is why you cost 1/3 of my grocery bill today!

He is my new friend and I happy happy to have found him and saved him from the dangers of Whole Foods. Oh btw, the highlight of my Sundays is going to the frozen foods section because the guy who works there is just so nice and sweet. He makes my day. I guess I should ask his name sometime just so the conversations are a little more personable, hehe.

Apple is nearly purged out of my life. Everything has been reformatted back to NTFS, only one hard drive was lost in that ordeal… no sure why it died yet. Just need to sell this fucking laptop.

I got my taxes started on Saturday by a real CPA(?) type person. I like what potential deductions can happen! I need them.

And fuck our new health-care at work. Something that normally cost $20 is now $40. So $480 a year now… very frustrating. I hope that gets fixed. I am beginning to see why people go ballistic and just go into places shooting… Get enough of that shit in a row and I can imagine it pushing me over as well.

Re-signed my lease today. They were gonna raise that $50 a month!!! I asked if there was any way it could be a little less than $50 and something was on my said because the didn’t end up raising it all. That made me damn happy. Since everything else in the money realm is raping me it’s nice for something to give me a slight break!

A friend of mine back from kung-fu is having a BABY!!! I’m excited for her. She had a rough time at first but now it’s finally happening and is gonna have a little girl in August. August is the best month you know….

Tuck is still a pain in the ass. He was eyeing my Quizno’s today. It’s unnerving… He was eating lunch so I sat down to eat my lunch and watch some TV. His enclosure is maybe 7 feet away. Next thing I know I’m taking a bite out of my lunch and I look over and he’s just watching me… intently. He pretty much watched me eat the entire thing. It freaked me out. Towards the end it disturbed me so much I picked him up and put him in his box so he’d stop looking at me. By the time he walked back over I had finished so he went back to his lunch. I can’t tell if he loves me or wants to kill me in my sleep.
