Soaking Cats Are Not Overly Happy Cats

Oh my god, make it stop! I love rain but rain is San Diego is utter CRAP! While there was some intense down pouring last night it’s just not worth it here. No real thunder, very little lightening, lots of flooding… on highways no less, and a cluster of idiots who think driving 90mph is the right thing to do on the oil slicked roads.
Looking at the forecast today it predicts 100% precipitation throughout the ENTIRE day. Me thinks me no walky today.
To remedy that I’ve been contemplating 20-30 minutes of jogging up and down the 5 flights of stairs in my apartment building. I just would rather do it around 11am…I’m not driving home for that tho in the middle of the day. I guess I’ll just see how I feel once I get home. It’s been working much better for me to do cardio midday and crossfit in the evening. The weather is messing up my routine!
The real bummer about Del Mar is there isn’t a damn thing to do on a lunch break. No where close enough to really drive to. The Starbucks are full of Del Marians. Nothing that appealing to eat really either which is generally fine since I bring my own lunch most of the time. Del Mar is really kind of the suck. It’s pretty… which means absolutely nothing to me and my windowless sound treated room. We often joke that when the apocalypse comes I’ll just wait it out in my room because no one in the office will remember to warn me.
It was raining SO hard last night it was almost impressive around 6pm. Most nights I treated myself to a small glass of wine but last night called for some coffee and Baileys. I just love that combo… However, I regretted it around bedtime. I couldn’t fall asleep to save my life. After about an hour of just lying there I decided to help myself out and took a shot of NyQuil. While NyQuil always knocks me out it sure does make getting up in the morning difficult. I slept right up until my alarm goes off. Normally I best the alarm by 20 minutes or more.
I’m ready for some sunshine. I just can’t take this anymore. I think Friday is the last day of this crap. Hopefully they are right and the weekend and nice and clear. It would be nice to go out and get some more photography time in.

I know what you mean, I like a day or 2 of rain but then I start missing Mr. Sun. Good luck finding some cardio goodness, I’m ever thankful for my cheapo 10 dollar/mo gym membership when it’s icky out.
