…is so much better than looking down.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Not a holiday I ever cared much for but this year I get to bake for it. Last night I made pie dough and some pumpkin cakes. Unfortunately I think the cakes need a redo as my baking powder my be old since they didn’t rise much. Luckily they are quick to make tho I think I need to grab some more eggs and that could be a nightmarish endeavor this afternoon. But I guess it must be done.
Brandon will come over later and make pumpkin pie with me and perhaps help with try #2 at the cakes. I need to make their mousse filling as well tho. Another thing I have never made. I am not a fan of anything that requires the use of gelatin (now that I know what it’s made of!). But the recipe looks so neat that I’ll put my disgust aside.
After all this then it’s time to prepare for Christmas. This is going to be the first Christmas I spend away from my parents. Brandon invite me to spend it with his family this year and my parents were elated by this… Now they are looking at cruises! Hah… Brandon’s family is a blast so I’m looking forward to this a lot. Just hard to get past this being the first Christmas I miss with my parents in 30 years. Oh well, I’ll just go home afterward… Shopping will be more fun this way since everyone will be back at work!!! 
Hopefully this work day moves quickly along so I can leave early and start my evening plans.
This is how it should be.
